"Light reflecting"
"Brightening"
Normally all words I would avoid, however one product has undoubtedly changed my mind.
Bourjois have recently released their "Happy Light" range including a foundation, concealer and 2 primers.
Whilst perusing the aisles of Superdrug I came across the Happy Light Primer.
The Matte version of this primer was what originally caught my eye, however they were all sold out, so I impulsively (and sceptically) decided to get this one.
I'm going to say it now.
I wasn't expecting much.
In fact, I was expecting to be disappointed.
But this... this stuff is goooooood!
It can either be applied before foundation to give your skin a little "pick me up" or mixed in with your foundation to give a luminous, satin finish to your base.
Or it could even be applied strategically to the high points of your face, an act as a highlighter.
Personally I like to mix a little of this pink serum in with my foundation to give an almost "lit from within" effect to my skin.
I really like how this primer is luminous, without looking oily. And how it highlights without being shimmery or glittery highlighter.
It just adds a lurveeeely glow to your skin.
I take about a pump of this with a pump and a bit of whatever foundation and apply it to my face and I have to say I'm converted.
I'm very much a "matte" person but this has changed my mind.
I also found, due to the light reflecting quality of it, it helped conceal my blemishes a little bit more than the average matte powder.
It made my skin look more like skin.
I was a little sceptical because, although I have generally dry skin, I can get a bit oily on my T-Zone and I just thought I'd end up in a big greasy mess with this.
But I didn't!
You can see here how it just gives a lovely luminosity, even to my hand.
I would definitely recommend this to everyone.
I think it's just a really nice primer to work with.
Have you tried this primer, or any of the Happy Light range?
What did you think?
Much love
